Starting off the week with a new blog for you to read and this artist spotlight is dedicated to the one and only Jenna. Wonderful hairdresser and makeup artist. She's fun to be around and will always have a genuine smile that's contagious. She makes it look so easy but it's because she loves what she does. "Since I was a little girl I’ve always taken an interest in hair/makeup and style . I followed my passion and have become a stylist at salon 808 since December 2012 . Before that I was a stay at home to 3 beautiful kids that I adore . But in between all the diaper changes and school I always found time to dab a little in my passion and do some work on the side!"-Jenna

I love the look on my clients face when they see the finished product!!

Haircuts I love changing your new look with a great cut!!
What are your favorite products?
I think every line has something different to offer so I can’t choose just one. It’s like makeup everyone has a whole bunch of different brands in their makeup bag that equals to one fabulous look!! But it all works!!

Curling irons
How do you define beauty?
I think a great amount of how u feel inside defines how u look outside!! It’s true Beauty comes from within but I help to enhance what u already have!
Who or what inspires you?
My clients do . They inspire me to do the best job I can and to achieve the same goal . And the end results and how they see themselves when I’m done is all worth it!!
How would your close friends describe you?
Very comfortable to talk to, I’m a clown always making ppl laugh, very honest and a women of integrity.
What can we catch you doing on your free time?
Spending the day with my family (kids)
What makes you the happiest?
Seeing everyone around me happy and succeeding in what they strive to be!
Share an interesting fact about yourself:
I come from a family of 8 children. My dad is a well know in the entertainment business her in Hawaii . He started many shows (paradise cove , magic of Polynesia, Ulalena and a whole lot more ) My moms family is in the entertainment business as well . Her father is Rene Paulo and mother Akemi Paulo. Their family has been entertaining ppl in Hawaii since the 50’s . So I grew up in a very busy family learning at a young age about shows and productions . Saw a lot of ppl on stage and always fascinated by the hair costume and makeup. Now as I am grown with kids I’m doing what I wanted to as a kid!! Someone told me once the BEST JOB you can have is one that doesn’t even feel like work . And I found that job!!! I love what I do and love it here at SALON 808!!!

“I went to Salon 808 for the first time last weekend, and Jenna gave me an amazing haircut!
My hair was very long (past my belly button), very damaged, and very stringy. I was nervous about having it cut, but Jenna made my hair look awesome! It's now about armpit length and has so much more body.
Jenna really followed the photo I brought in (of Jennifer Aniston - there aren't that many medium length, straight hair, bang-less photos out there that I could find), and I love my new hair!! She gave me a slight face frame in the front and very subtle layers in the back so that it would sit nicely on its own.
Jenna also gave a wonderful shampoo massage and straightened my hair afterward. My hair now feels and looks so much fuller and healthier!
Also worth noting is that they fit me in at the time I wanted and they even took me early when I showed up for my appointment. The price was fair at $45 before tip, which I felt was a good deal given the terrible hair I came in with. I parked for free in the mall parking lot just behind the building. Also, both Jenna and the receptionist were very nice and personable.”
