The Holidays are Approaching!

This past Halloween, Uncle Hanalei really outdid himself by decorating the salon with a plethora of pumpkins and everyone here has started their Christmas wreaths. Its never to early to get into the

Christmas spirit here at 808! Now its time to add your appointment to Salon 808 and we are asking that everyone come down, get your hair done and help judge our Christmas decoration contest going on starting Nov. 28. Each stylist will have a festive work area for you to help inspect and crown the King or Queen of Christmas. This time of the year is for happiness and cheer, but can be hectic, so we humbly urge you to book your favorite stylist before its too late.

This month we also styled Halau ʻOlapakuikalaʻi ʻo Hokuaulani at their 10th Anniversary Hō`ike at the Hawaii Theatre. HO’OKAHI NŌ KŌ KĀUA NOHO PŪ ‘ANA presented by Kumu Hoku Nihipali and nearly 100 students from Hawaii and Japan along with Nā Hōkū Hanohano award winning entertainment! We were mesmerized by the sounds of 2011 & 2014 Male Vocalist of the Year, Mark Yamanaka, multiple award-winning `ukulele duo, Herb Ohta, Jr and Bryan Tolentino, recording artist and award-winning Kumu Hula Mark Keali`i Ho`omalu, and 5 time Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award Winners, including Group of the Year, Waipuna. If only y'all could have been there! This reminded me that we will be updating the events were styling before hand so you all may attend and we will also be posting behind the scenes photos of each function!
